It's no secret we're living in the attention economy now.
The supply and demand of attention is harder to get a hold of than ever, yet it is so easy to access.
So how do you keep that attention with your marketing?
Your answer: Short-form video content
Since the rise of TikTok in 2019, short-form content has become increasingly demanded by not only users but also platforms.
Users like it because it is:
more engaging
more personable
easier to follow along
and provides an easier outlet for creativity
Platforms like it because it allows them to keep people on their platform longer.
The longer people are on their platform, the more ads they see, the more companies make, the more they make, the more they spend, and the more they spend the more the platform makes.
Confusing, I know, but this is the world we live in.
Short-form content is your best vehicle to not only grow your brand but also:
tell stories
creatively market your brand for FREE
hook people more easily to your content
Brands of all sizes need to wrap their heads around creating content on social media to grow their business.
I mean why wouldn't you? It's free, it's where all the attention is, and it's where you can find people who are interested in you and your brand.
So let me put it simply, if you are not making content (of any form) you are missing out on free marketing and brand building.
If you aren't doing short-form video content, you might want to start.
The good news for you - you can start on one platform (YouTube Shorts, IG Reels, FB Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn (soon)) and grow from there.
Do me a favor though, stick with posting 5-7x per week for 12 months before you throw in the towel, commit to figuring out what works and why, and then you can think about quitting.
But I have a feeling that won't be the case.
Just start... today.
